Hi! Welcome to my Senior Project Blog. I am embarking on a journey to film, edit, and ultimately share with my peers a documentary about refugees our age. The project will range anywhere from researching current events surrounding the refugee crisis, to watching other documentaries and gleaning tips and filming tricks.
The documentary will focus on the lives of two refugees- Heval and Fakhria. Heval is a surgeon at Emory, and Fakhria is a pre-school teacher in Decatur. They moved to America at different times for different reasons, and the documentary will attempt to track their "arch". They are both successful and established, and the purpose of the documentary is to show that there is hope and an upside. I hope to make it an insightful learning experience for my peers.
